Every 2-3 years, Pirmin Jung Ingenieure für Holzbau makes invitation for architects and other partners for after work talk. «For us these evenings give possibilities to say thank you to our partners. We although want to let grow up our awareness for the necessaries of our partners», so Pirmin Jung. The evenings were a big success. About 50 guests could be welcomed in Rain. The interesting lectures of Gion A. Caminada, Architect and Kai-Uwe Bergmann from BIG Architects impressed the visitors really. The followed aperitif was a good place for talks between collaborators and guests.

24 young leaders of German Timber construction enterprises were in Switzerland between 13th and 14th of May. They could enjoy an interesting tour around different objects of Pirmin Jung, which are either allready finished or still in completion. A highlight of this trip for sure was the excursion to the Stanserhorn, where the interesting construction of the restaurant on the top could be regarded.

PIRMIN JUNG + BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group (DK) + AOA Anttinen Oiva Architects Ltd (FI) + Vahanen Engineers (FI) + Stora Enso (FI) is the winning team to design a prototype wooden construction system for a pilot project in Kouvola, Finland that will serve as a showcase for the sustainable use of timber construction worldwide.

"PUU-BO was the only proposal to truly acknowledge the aspiration of the E3 Competition: to look at the surroundings of the buildings and the spaces in between as potential opportunities for green development", Jury, E2 (Ecology + Economy).
