Project management at PIRMIN JUNG is organised in such a way that we can exploit the company’s vast experience in each project. We have a uniform project philosophy; no matter which employee handles the project, and no matter how much experience they have: the client receives a solution from PIRMIN JUNG.

An experienced project manager is involved in the projects during the initial project phase, which deals with the structural support and system construction. In this the project manager is coached by PIRMIN JUNG. In the further phases, the project is handled by a project manager under the active supervision of a coach.

This way of organising projects ensures that there is always another manager who can take over if necessary and each project is overseen by more than one person.

Engineering is a very precise science. We are an ISO 9001 certified company, which means quality management is an integral part of our processes. Our employees are responsible for the work they do, but receive close supervision in each phase of a project. This dual control brings security, especially to new employees, and helps to eliminate the source of mistakes. Should, however, something not go quite according to plan, we draw lessons from this experience as a company, which at the same time helps the personal learning process of each employee.

IT

Our IT system meets all the demands place on a modern, secure and stable IT infrastructure. It uses the latest technology – in particular in terms of data security.
We work with a fully virtualised environment with SunRay 2FS ThinClients.
Each workplace is equipped with two screens for ease of working.
Our IT installations ensure optimum performance, stability, data security and electricity use.
We use modern software packages such as MS Office 2007.

History of PIRMIN JUNG

The current success of PIRMIN JUNG Ingenieure für Holzbau AG all began when the company owner, Pirmin Jung, chose which profession to follow.
From1984 to 1987 he trained to be a carpenter. From 1989 to 1993 he took a degree in Timber Engineering at the SH Holz in Biel.
Experience in planning large-scale timber engineering projects both in Switzerland and abroad further contributes to the success of Pirmin Jung and his team in the timber engineering field.
Since 1996 Pirmin Jung has run his own company in Rain, developing and realising structural timber engineering projects.
The story so far:
  • 1996: Sole proprietorship PIRMIN JUNG INGENIEUR + PLANUNGSBÜRO FÜR HOLZBAU in 6026 Rain
  • 1998: ISO 9001 certification (SQS)
  • 1999: New name: PIRMIN JUNG Ingenieure für Holzbau GmbH
  • 2003: Change of premises in Rain to Grossweid 4
  • 2007: Office expands to 17 fully equipped work places
  • 2009: PIRMIN JUNG Ingenieure für Holzbau GmbH becomes a public limited company
  • 2010: Office expands with another 8 work places
  • 2010: Reorganisation of Internal Services
